Recitals and Parties...
Halloween recital
Every year there is a Halloween recital for the kids (sorry grown ups) at which the wearing of costumes is encouraged and a lighter party atmosphere is maintained but, a set program and performance order is adhered to. Goodies and treats are in follow-up unless there are too many tricks!

Piano Parties
Just for adult students and parents of young students, we host "piano parties" each year at least once, usually twice and one year we had three we were having so much fun! This is a casual party atmosphere, potluck, bring your favorite beverage and play if you like. There is no structure but everyone usually ends up playing a little, no matter what their level of proficiency. With all of the conversation, food and drink, you might not even know if anyone heard you or not! We have found it a great way to get over stage fright and have a lot of fun at the same time.

A great view from the perch above. The kitchen seems to be ever popular,
away from the piano. (scardie cats)

Everybody ends up playing usually, The dining room is another popular
between bites that is! hangout. Go figure...

Stage Recitals
In addition to the more casual recital setting, we also host a more formal recital once a year in the auditorium at the Carlsbad library. They have a wonderful Steinway grand and this is a great opportunity for all who are interested to show-off their skills in a theater setting.
